How damaging is Iraq deaths inquiry?
Added: Wednesday, 31 May, 2006, 19:30 GMT
Let me get this straight.
If I oppose murder of civilians by US Marines, I am anti-american?

If I oppose illegal invasion of Iraq I am anti-american?

If I oppose paranoid and possibly criminal information gathering by the US government, I am anti-american?

If I oppose torture, rendition, and the acts of the US in Abu Graib, Guantanamo Bay, Fallujah and Haditha, then I am anti-american??

Pass me the American flag and the matches please!

"Dear John, When we start allowing Euros to dictate our national policies, conduct wartime strategy, or even give one small tinker's damn about your disgust for us, I'll let you know." TK, St Louis, USA

Well TK, it's a pity our troops are getting blown up and shot following you lot into your biggest disaster yet. Bush is the biggest terrorist alive, he is leading you, not into an 'American Century', but instead into the Fifth Reich.

Are you affected by Vodafone losses?
Added: Tuesday, 30 May, 2006, 18:51 GMT
The losses may be 'paper' but the job losses will be real for the people being sacked. Thanks to Tony Blair we have the most 'flexible' workforce in the world. That comes in handy for times like this when the workers are forced to bend over and touch their toes. I won't put a penny towards Vodaphone now, as they have proved to be bad if not worthless employers.

Are you worried about your pension?
Added: Thursday, 25 May, 2006, 06:24 GMT
Northumberland Council have been exposed in the act of investing their pension scheme in 15 of the world's largest arms manufacturers. Companies benefiting from this investment include fighter aircraft designer Northrop Grumman, the VT Group (one of the world's largest warship manufacturers) and US oil-giant Halliburton. The fund also holds an £82,000 investment in Lockheed Martin, arguably the world's largest nuclear weapons manufacturer. This is disgusting to me, as a resident of so-called 'Nuclear Free' Northumberland.
Are you worried about your pension?
Added: Thursday, 25 May, 2006, 06:07 GMT
I began work on leaving school in 1976 and put in 15 years in the pits. I have some pension due from this but the Government have raided the pension fund and stolen over 1.3 billion pounds from us. Since the pits were stolen from us by the Tories, I have worked in teaching and other professions. I have contributed to my state pension since 1976 and still am. Now I find that my state pension is being moved further away in time, to the point where I don't believe I will live to see it. MPs have allowed this while their pensions are being subsidised by our council tax. We are being treated like cattle by New Labour.

I AM NOT A TERRORIST!
Is the Da Vinci Code 'blasphemous'?
Added: Thursday, 18 May, 2006, 19:50 GMT

Well well well. So Dan Brown is not the messiah? According to those two old historians he's just a very naughty boy. I must say I can believe the Da Vinci Code much easier than I can believe the Bible. Good job I understand that its only fiction

Is Afhgan hijacker ruling 'inexplicable'?
Added: Thursday, 11 May, 2006, 22:54 GMT
The Afghan hijackers were opposed to the Taliban. Since the US ceased funding the Taliban they are said to be the "bad guys". This makes the Afghan hijackers into "good guys". No matter how illegal, dangerous and terroristic the activity, it is only bad when the "bad" guys do it, not the "good" guys. Then it becomes merely a "necessary evil" and part of the "Global War against Terror". Don't you lot know anything about newspeak?
Could 7 July have been avoided?

"You cannot prevent comitted terorists from carrying out their murders. We should have learned that from years of IRA bombings..."Graham, liverpool

Yes you can Graham, you can negotiate and the terrorists become politicians and the peace process can start. How is it that people like you have 'learned' so much from the years of conflict but learnt nothing at all from the ceasefire?
Could 7 July have been avoided?
Added: Thursday, 11 May, 2006, 08:03 GMT

There was a 'training exercise' being carried out at the exact time and place of the 7/7 attack, in London's public transport, based on the idea that terrorists would explode a number of bombs. This worries me, but not as much as the official silence surrounding this exercise. Perhaps the US/UK government realise we may recall 9/11, when 'training exercises' were being simultaneously carried out which were suspiciously similar to the actual attack, considering the attacks were ‘unexpected’.

Would you pay by the mile?
Added: Wednesday, 10 May, 2006, 11:35 GMT
This is nothing but a WAR TAX. Blair needs to pay for the current war and put a firm down-payment on the next one. Jack Straw said the next one was unthinkable and now he's out. Our poor and low-waged will be forced to give up their cars and use public transport, in order that not only Iraqi civilians but soon Iranian civilians can be randomly killed in the name of peace. Ok then let's use the public transport system, where are you hiding it?

"Im sick of people here bashing the US and UK about the war, It is a proven fact that Saddam had chemical weapons, we all saw what happened to the kurds and the Iranians."Jack Wood, Derby, United Kingdom

Jack, we know exactly what Chemical weapons Iraq had then because we kept receipts. Who do you think sold them all that poison gas etc. But well done for raising a very important point.

"......the US covered up most of the facts surrounding the 9.11.01 attacks."
Tom M, Virginia Beach, United States

Well done Tom for raising this point. Anyone searching Google for TRUTH, 911 will find lots of food for thought. We may never find out the whole truth, but the lies are quite easy to spot. However, what worries me is that most good people don't bother to look beyond the US government statements. Remember that good people in Germany accepted Hitler's lies and look what happened there.

Have you seen a UFO?
Added: Tuesday, 9 May, 2006, 22:49 GMT
"This report is 100% accurate. Anyone who believes otherwise is insane. Most of those reporting UFO sightings are insane, the rest are traitors." John Smith, Torchwood

This is possibly the scariest post ever. All traitors to be handed over to the Yanks I take it?

Have you seen a UFO?
Added: Monday, 8 May, 2006, 06:52 GMT

By releasing this report on UFOs the Uk government is likely acting on orders from Head Office to railroad poor Gary McKinnon off to Guantanamo Bay on terrorism charges. Gary states that he was able to hack into US computer systems because of what amounts to criminal negligence within those organisations. The americans claim he did unspecified 'damage' to their network, but their integrity is somewhatt tattered these days. Gary McKinnon must not be extradited or we will never see him again.

UN Committee on Torture hearing: Your views
Added: Sunday, 7 May, 2006, 07:59 GMT
"Playing music, cultural humiliation, Sleep depravation, and the lot is not torture. We did that in college to get into a fraternity." Joe Pepe, New york

Hmmmm. That explains a lot. So if Kerry had been elected, as a member of Skull and Bones like GW Bush, he would have probably demanded the same cruel treatment for prisoners that is alarming the civilised world. Did you threaten your fellow students with waterboarding or fierce dogs though?

"What is the position ......on the situation at Guantanamo and CAN they .......demand its closure or kick the Americans out?" Michael James, United Kingdom

Michael, Cuba's position is pretty simple. An american government invaded Cuba on a pretext of being attacked, 'liberated' the place rather like Iraq has been liberated, and appointed a patsy president, who was coerced to sign Guantanamo Bay over to the US as a refueling staion. The disputed (hotly and for many years) territory is defended against Cuban attack by the largest minefield in the western hemisphere, check this on google some time.

Moussaoui life sentence: Your reaction
Added: Thursday, 4 May, 2006, 17:41 GMT
This verdict is a disgrace. The Americans crying out for death are little worse than the ones gloating over a life to be spent in prison. Moussaoui plainly did not carry out any attacks, and is obviously mentally ill. He is being used as a scapegoat to slake the Great American Bloodlust. Why are the FBI/CIA not in court for their part in concealing the imminent attack from the american public. Bush knew 9/11 was about to happen. He should be on trial.
